Course notes for 59-240 are available below.  Tentative lecture dates will be updated as the term progresses.  Please let me know if you find any mistakes in the notes so that I can fix them for the other students!  Email me at rschurko@uwindsor.ca

 Note: Right click on the file link and save it to your hard drive.  Open the file in Adobe Acrobat outside of Internet Explorer to print.  If you want save paper by printing 2, 4 or 6 slides per page, select Properties under the Print menu, and choose the appropriate number of pages per sheet.   These notes have been successfully printed by hundreds of students - but please let me know about any problems, and I'll see if I can help you.

Problems & Reading
Suggested problems are given below - in order to keep up with class material and prepare for examinations you must do these problems as the lecture material progresses.  Equivalent sets of problems are listed for both the 6th and 7th edition of Atkins.  Reading assignments are listed as: Chapter 6 (Chapter 7).  Please do list (a) problems which are solved in the Solutions Manual, and attempt the list (b) problems.
