The links shown below will lead to copies of old tests and examinations. In order to avoid problems with reading these files, they have all been converted into .pdf files which can be read with Adobe Acrobat Reader®. This is a FREE program which can be downloaded from the URL shown below. After it is installed on your computer, it will allow you to open and print the old tests and examinations.
In years past (prior to 2002), Chemistry 59-230 has been taught by a different professor (Prof. McIntosh) and at other times has been numbered 59-135, but was identical in content. Therefore, if you see a test or examination titled 59-135, this is not a mistake. Obviously courses change from year to year and over a period of several years, the emphasis may change. Furthermore, I undoubtedly have a different style of asking questions. Therefore, older tests may address somewhat different order of subjects than does the current one. Nevertheless the questions on all tests address material which the 2002 and onwards editions of this course cover at some time.
