Note about texbook(s) 2009

We will still be using ABC's of Organic Chemistry books (which will be available in the Bookstore). We will follow this book quite closely - these are the preferred books. I recommend buying the ABC's and then deciding if it is sufficient.

Some of you, particularly the Chem and Biochem majors, will want something more extensive - a commercial text. This alternative book (which will be useful in the 235 course, too) will be Organic Chemistry, J. McMurry, 7th ed. (Note: Not his Organic Chemistry: A Biological Approach). Those who have the 6th ed. or an old Fox and Whitesell (previous years text) will find that they will suffice for 230/232.
